Involve your architect at the design stage in recommending the size of your system. He or she must consider the size of the poperty as well as aesthetics.
If you perfer not having a tank and panels on the roof, you'll need a pump system. Your architect or contractor must be advised by sunpower about the appropriate electrical and plumbing specifications to be incorporated into the designs. The roof design must also be able to accomidate the fittings in terms of leaving sufficient clear space around the panels.
Remember to consider your plumbing system, as pipes running in excess of 30 feet to your kitchen or bathrooms will lose heat efficiency.
Just as it does in your kettle, limestone will build up in the tubes of your solar hot water system's collector panels. This should be removed every four to six years to keep the collectors working at peak performance.
Your tank also contains magnesium anode to counteract lime buildup. It is recommended that this be checked and replaced every four years.

Please be aware that in order to have your system repaired or serviced and returned as soon as possible, you must submit a deposit upon removal of the equipment. This will be applied to the repair costs and/or new parts for your system.
Shifting or removing equipment for roof repairs should only be done by our Sunpower technicians. Two to four days' notice is requested in order to meet your requirements.
